These delightful velvet cushions illustrate 1950's bold vintage images of Damascene Roses juxtaposed with a modern vintage pattern capture memories from the Middle East.
The image of the roses used in Rana's designs refers to the city of Damascus in Syria, known for its perfumes, spices and fabrics (Damask). Damascena Rosa's origin was by tradition from the Middle East. They were then brought by the French crusaders from Syria to Europe.
